Green Drinks is a non-partisan, international network that serves to gather green minded people to network, socialize and learn. Join the growing movement of green drinkers, an organization with over 587 active cities.
Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks.
In Kelowna, Green Drinks are:
When: 1st Thursday of every month from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Where: Streaming Cafe, 596 Leon Avenue, Kelowna http://streamingcafe.net/
Who: Everyone who is interested in sustainability. The Streaming Cafe welcomes families!
What: Buy your own drinks and snacks at the cafe and feel free to display your business cards or brochures about your green products or services.
Why: It's great and green and will feature a monthly theme with idea sharing!
We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. Come along and you’ll be made welcome. Just say, “are you green?” and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there. It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.
These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas, sealed deals and had moments of serendipity. Please join us for the next Kelowna Green Drinks and cheers with an Okanagan organic wine!
